Kerax KeraSoy 4120 Soy Blend Pillar Wax
KeraSoy 4120 Pillar Wax is a soy blend specifically developed for the production of pillar candles and wax melts. It offers a firm structure, smooth finish and reliable performance, making it ideal for moulded candle designs and professional results.
This wax is suitable for use with fragrance oils and oil soluble dyes, allowing you to create a wide range of scented and coloured products. It is biodegradable, vegan friendly and produced without the use of animal products or animal testing.
KeraSoy 4120 does not require additional additives other than fragrance and colour, keeping your formulation simple and consistent.

Recommended usage guidelines
Melting temperature 70 to 75°C
Fragrance addition 65 to 70°C
Pouring temperature 55 to 65°C
Recommended fragrance load 5 to 10 percent always test
Temporary heating up to 90°C is acceptable if cooled quickly however avoid prolonged high temperatures to prevent discolouration
Colour
Suitable for powder dyes liquid dyes chips blocks and mica powders
For powder dyes heat wax to around 75°C and mix until fully dissolved
Dyes can also be pre mixed into fragrance before adding to wax
For richer colours a small amount of black dye can be added
Fragrance
Designed for use at 5 to 10 percent fragrance load
Fragrance oils developed for natural waxes are recommended
Some fragrances may affect finish or burn performance so full testing is essential
Wicking
Natural waxes typically require larger wick sizes than paraffin
Wick choice will vary depending on fragrance colour and candle size
Too large may cause soot and fast burn
Too small may cause tunnelling
Keep wicks trimmed to approximately ¼ inch
Allow candles to cure for at least 48 hours before test burning
Pouring and cooling
Pour temperatures may vary depending on mould type and size
Pouring at 55 to 65°C can improve mould release
Pour into pre heated moulds if required
Allow candles to cool undisturbed at room temperature
Leave for at least 48 hours before test burning
Double pour
This wax is designed for single pour however larger pillars may require a small top up
Top up using slightly warmer wax before the candle has fully cooled for best adhesion
Melting and equipment
Avoid prolonged heating above 85°C
Temporary heating up to 90°C is acceptable if cooled quickly
Stainless steel equipment is recommended
Avoid copper or zinc contact as this may cause discolouration
Storage
Store in a cool dry place away from direct heat sunlight and moisture
